So, I am supposed to teach a sewing tutorial for MOMS Club next week and I decided to show how to do a peasant blouse...for toddlers. Then, I thought, oh cute would it be if I made one for myself too. Here is today's first attempt.

So, it's okay. It was a little frumpy looking, so I added the elastic below the bust. Then I needed to cover up the cinching fabric so I added the ribbon. For my taste, the neck is a little too high. So, I think I'll take it down for my next attempt. Here's a better look:

So, bottom line: Would I actually wear this as is? Probably not. Back to the sewing machine I go. I still don't understand why it looks so cute on Layla and not on me. Ha ha!
